Designing a Minimal Interior That Relies on Precision, Not Excess

Located on the 13th floor with panoramic views of Portland, the Eliot Tower residence required a restrained interior approach that complemented rather than competed with its surroundings. Aforma supported the coordination of interior elements to ensure that material quality, detailing, and spatial clarity were executed accurately.

‍

Delivering High-End Minimalism Without Tolerance for Error

Minimalist interiors leave no room for inconsistency. Every alignment, joint, and transition needed to be precise, especially when working with high-end materials and custom-built elements. In a high-rise setting, coordination across trades and systems added another layer of complexity.

‍

Coordinating Materials, Details, and Built Elements for Precision Execution

Aforma translated the design intent into coordinated documentation that ensured accuracy across all built elements.

• Developed detailed drawings for cabinetry, millwork, and built-in features

• Coordinated material transitions between wood, stone, and metal finishes

• Structured layouts to align with both spatial flow and fixed building conditions
• Supported clarity in construction detailing for seamless installation

A Clean, Cohesive Interior Built Exactly as Intended

The final result delivered a refined interior that emphasizes material quality and craftsmanship. With clear documentation and aligned execution, the project minimized inconsistencies and ensured that each element was built as designed.
